Adrian Rodriguez 

Adrian Rodriguez is a printmaker based in Swampscott, MA. He is co-owner of MiraMar Print Lab, in Swampscott with artist, Sammia Atoui since 2019. Adrian received a BFA and Diploma Certificate from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts & Tufts University (‘04) where he studied under Master Printmaker Carolyn Muskat of Muskat Studios, Catherine Kearnan of Mixit Studios, and Professors Peter Scott and John Schultz. Adrian is very active in the direct art market, selling his prints to collectors and individual patrons. Adrian has exhibited extensively, nationally and internationally, and has artworks in prestigious collections such as the MFA, Boston and the Boston Public Library. Additionally, Adrian is an active member of the historic organization, the Boston Printmakers.  

Adrian’s art practice is predominantly relief printmaking, works on paper and artist books. His themes rely heavily on comedic absurdity, subversion and the grotesque and are employed to provoke conversation around such topics as politics, society, and morality. Drawing heavily from current national and international events, his work seeks to challenge contemporary cultural narratives and address their impacts on individuals and their relationships.
